Privacy
Discretion is the whole point.
Plain version: we don't use cookies, we don't store your IP address, we don't ask who you are, and we don't sell or share anything. What follows is the honest detail.
What we collect
To understand traffic (which pages get viewed, roughly where visitors are, whether the site is working), we record for each page view: an approximate location down to the city, your device type (mobile or desktop), the referring site, any campaign tag in the link, and how far you scroll or how long you stay. We do not store your IP address. Instead your IP is turned into a one-way hashed token using a secret plus a random daily salt, so visits can be de-duplicated for a day without the raw address ever being kept.
Cookies
None. The site sets no tracking cookies. A per-tab session id lives only in your browser's temporary storage and is gone when you close the tab.
The chat assistant
If you use the on-page chat, your message is sent to a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate a reply. That means chat text leaves our systems and is processed on servers outside Canada. Please don't put personal or identifying details into the chat — for anything real, text us directly.
How long we keep it
The daily salt that could link a token back to an IP is deleted after 35 days, after which older visit tokens are permanently non-reversible. Aggregate visit detail is kept up to 400 days for year-over-year comparison, then deleted.
Who else touches the data
Our site and analytics run on Cloudflare (which provides the approximate location). Chat uses DeepSeek. Fonts load from Google Fonts. That's the full list — no ad networks, no data brokers, nobody else.
Your choices
Because we deliberately store no identity and delete the linking salt after 35 days, older records genuinely can't be traced back to a person. If you have a question about your data or want recent activity removed, text us at (416) 317-3363 and we'll help.
